The college offers three undergraduate programmes leading to the B.Tech Degree in the disciplines of Electronics& Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology with an overtake of 60 students to each discipline.The Institute is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology.

Thangal Kunju Musaliar was not of the view that he accomplished his mission and social commitment with regard to education by establishing an engineering college alone. Therefore, he went on with his sagacious endeavors to start an Arts and Science College. His efforts succeeded when the Government sanctioned a junior college to TKM Trust. The college which was declared open by Prof. Samuel Mathai, the then Vice Chancellor of University of Kerala, was upgraded to the first grade status in 1977, after years of earnest efforts from the part of the trust.

TKM Centenary Public School was started in 1997, the birth centenary year of Janab Thangal Kunju Musaliar and is located at TKM College campus. Following the CBSE curriculum the school imparts most modern education, aiming high standards in academics.

TKM Higher Secondary School began in the year 2000 following the completion of delinking of pre-degree programme from various Arts and Science colleges.

The TKM School of Communication and Information Technology was started in 1996 as the fourth educational institution of the TKM College Trust with the primary objectives of offering courses in Information Technology and Communication.
It is a recognised study centre for the distance learning programmes of Madurai Kamaraj University and offer almost all UG & PG Programmes in Arts, MSc(Maths, Physics and Chemistry), BBA, BCA, MBa and MCA programmes.
