Alumni Association

The T.K.M. College of Engineering Alumni Association was formed in 1963, with a view to keep the silken threads of the attachments between the old students and the Institution. The chapters of T.K.M College of Engineering Alumni Association are functioning in many parts of the world.

The Objectives of the Association

  1. To maintain the contacts of the alumni with the Alma-matter.
  2. To foster the relationship between the past and the present students of the institution.
  3. To keep the old students informed of the growth and development of the institution.
  4. To give an opportunity to the old students of the institution to partake in the responsible task of building up and maintaining the tradition of this institution
  5. To serve as a forum striving to get a proper blending of the of the theoretical and practical aspects of Engineering.
  6. To institute prizes and scholarships for the students of the college and to help the students passing out of the college in securing employment consistent with their qualifications.

Membership

All the students of the college shall be eligible to become members of the Association. There shall be the following classes of members.

  1. Patrons
    The Chairman and the members of the governing body and the Principal of the college shall be the patrons of the association.
  2. Life members
    All the past students of the college who pay the subscription of Rs.500 and the present outgoing students who pay the subscription of Rs.300 shall be the Life members.
  3. Ordinary members
    All past students who pay the subscription of Rs.100 shall be the ordinary members.
  4. Honorary members
    All past members of the teaching staff of the college shall be able to become Associate-Life members of the Association on payment of the prescribed fee for the corresponding class of membership for the past students.

Alumni Proficiency Awards

This proficiency award will be given to one student in each branch of the regular final year class based on general proficiency.

Merit Certificates

Merit certificates will be given to all top ranking outgoing students in each branch.

Scholarships

The UAE Alumni chapter has offered two scholarships of Rs.500/month to two students. The student will be selected on merit-cum-means basis.

Alumni Guest House

The Association has been able to construct a guest house inside the college campus. The Management made necessary land available for this purpose. Guest house facility can be availed through the Principal.
